Facade ideas on blocks over 12 m wide... Including Dual Key

With Setback rules for blocks there has to be a minimum space down the side of the houses. These sort of facades are possible in those instances as the width allows us to put a full livable or usable media room at the front of the house, and even allows the space for dual key homes. It also starts to open up the ideas of perhaps having raised Porticos and other ideas to dress up the front of the dwelling. This is something we discuss during the process, but the choices are many depending on materials, colours and even covenance in some estates, but we can design one to suit your budget. And Remember.... Dual key homes aren't just for investors, they can help a family purchase a home and share the accomodation and costs.

Facade ideas on blocks under 12m wide

Narrower blocks are more common then ever, but with the restrictions placed by councils as to the frontage or look of the dwelling, it can limit slightly what you can do compared to wider blocks. By changing materials and or colours though we can find a facade that works for all blocks. Then there's also the choice of tandem or double garages which can help with the design. If you're looking at a narrower frontage block speak to us about different ideas we can do with the look and the design.

Granny Flats

Depending on your location and current block size will inevitably decide what sort of granny flat can be placed on your block. For example, in the Moreton Shire and depending on your situation, you may be allowed a maximum 45m living area, a 55m maximum living area, or possibly a 100sq m living area. We will help you find out for certain what that is prior to helping you with a design that's both affordable and practical, as we don't want to see you get caught like some people purchasing a kit format building that may never get approved.
